It keeps backing out and hanging up on the receiver on the 725 and the XT. On the Brownell's schematic's page for Citori's, it's part number 26. Browning calls the part an extractor retaining pin (screw) part # B1334114. I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem?Īny suggestions other than what I've done?
I replaced the first pin with a new one, loc-tighted it, and set the opposite end with a punch. I took the extractor out and loc-tighted and re-tightened the pin (its a screw in with no slot) using my soft jaws on the vise and it came loose again. The pin in the XT fell out and was lost while the pin on the 725 loosened and was catching on the edge of the action. This is occurring on the barrel I use the most (lower). I've had a recurring issue with the extractor retaining pin loosening on my XT and my 725 Trap. I'm posting again to warn prospective purchasers to NOT BUY A 725 or XT. I posted this once already and thought I had a fix.
